What is the AWS Community Builders Program?
The AWS Community Builders Program is a program by Amazon Web Services that provides technical resources, networking opportunities and education for AWS technical enthusiasts who primarily build with AWS services, and share their knowledge with their community whether online. such as videos and blog posts or in-person, such as presentations.
If you make in-person presentations or video conferences, make sure you record your sessions and that they’re publicly accessible.
Benefits
The benefits of this program are that this program is inherently a benefit in and of itself, but here is a brief list:
- You get to network with fellow minded AWS enthusiasts such as leaders of AWS User Groups, AWS Developer Advocates, AWS Community Builders and AWS Heroes, who have unique approaches and offer even more mentorship opportunities for growth once you’re acquainted with them.
- You receive educational perks such as a subscription to CloudAcademy, which will give you the opportunity to advance your cloud knowledge and prepare for your certifications, so that you can share this knowledge with others, and elevated yourself.
- Resources and guidance that will help you improve your technical writing and content creation skills.

Who Should Apply?
You should definitely apply for this program if you are already a builder, and you produce technical content related to AWS, and you wish to improve your technical skills and connect with fellow enthusiasts and evangelists.
It would be advantageous, if you already have a track record of producing content. But, fear not, there is always next year if you don’t get accepted. And you should not be disheartened, but rather, produce more quality content.
You have to be 18 years and older, and come from any region, from Africa to the United States: All Builders, from All Regions are Welcome!
